Golden City - US$700M Real Estate Development
In Yangon, Myanmar

Golden City is Myanmar's tallest luxury integrated development, founded in late 2013. Situated on 8.4 acres in a prime Yangon location, Golden City has a planned gross floor area of 3.6M sq. ft. over ten 33-storey towers and one 4-storey building, totalling a gross development value of approx. US$700M (independent assessment). This covers residences (1,400 condos), offices, a premium hotel, serviced residences, retail, and a 100,000 sq. ft. garden area.

Golden City has already topped off the first seven residential towers (the tallest buildings in the country), handed over residences to buyers for the first four towers, and has become a famous landmark in Yangon. Golden City is well-recognised for its quality, execution, and contributions to the local community and as such, it has been one of the very best selling projects in the country since launch.

D3 sourced and led the investment in the greenfield project, founded the development company in Myanmar, and was a major shareholder of the project. At the beginning of 2017, D3 partially exited the Golden City project to a Singapore listed property development company at a valuation of SGD150M.
